Our Community Services

  • English Conversation Class
The English conversation classes have been a ministry of our church since 1993, serving Japanese people in suburban Maryland.. Students(most of whom are wives of researchers at NIH and businessmen)will learn not only English conversation skill but also American culture at classes. The program provides a good opportunity to reach out to Japanese people while they are here in this country.

  • Lunch Program for Homeless People
The Lunch program is a program for homeless people provided by Bethesda Cares, an interdenominational charity organization that works for the under-privileged. For the past 12 years (since 1993) we have been participating in this program. We make 40 to 50 lunches after the worship service on the second Sunday of each month. These lunches are served the following Monday. It is God's given work that we want to continue as our vital ministry for the community.
